I took my little guy downtown on the Metro today
to have lunch with a friend and visit the Botanic Gardens. He got kind of whiny in the middle of lunch and said he wanted to go home "right now". I told him I had a feeling that once we got to the garden, he wouldn't want to leave.

I was right. Had to prod him out of there before rush hour started! :D

5. I have an 18 year old who'd almost rather die
than be seen with me in public.

But I don't doubt that he'll grow out of that before long.
How about you? :)

8. I've got two
a girl, 9, and a boy, 12.

Yes, the daunting Teenage Years are JUST beginning for me..... :scared:

The annoying, know-it-all attitude has definitely kicked in. :eyes:

6. We just had lunch with my friend...
I took him to the gardens so he'd have something to look forward to. She had to get back to work. :-)

9. Cool! Maybe he'll be a botanist.
Are they done with the renovations? I drive by there twice a day, wondering when the ugly "hiding" walls will come down.

10. Not yet...
I wonder if it will be open later in the spring. It looks like they're planning an outdoor exhibit to me.
