Would any of you vetran DUers help explain how to add pictures on posts?
I've looked in the FAQ section, and didn't really find the help I needed. I tried a copy and paste put that didn't work either. I'd appreciate any help I could get.

On the same subject. Could someone explain how to turn them off so that I don't have to watch flying underpants and other such annoyances.

4. First.. check with your ISP to see if they give you some free webspace

the you just right click on whatever picture you like and save picture as...(a box will drop when you right click)

That will put the picture on your harddrive.. Then you upload that picture to your webspace and just right click on THAT picture and click properties... highlight and copy the url (must end with gif or jpg).. Drop that into any post and a picture will show up :)

If you link dierectly from a website, sometimes they exchange that picture with something very rude.. and when you directly link, that picture is eating up their bandwidth , which they pay for..

Geocities, angelfire and tripod do now show up here..

It's a lot more complicated than I anticipated. I thought it could be as easy as click and dragging. I'll just give verbal visuals. ;)

9. I've been using scotch tape...
Which is working out well because it's taking off some of the White-Out I've been using to edit documents.

5. For pictures on the net
more or less in imminent domain or whatever it's called:
1. right click on the picture.
2. on the pop-up menu, left click on properties.
3. on the next pop-up highlight the name of the gif or whatever it is by dragging your left clicked cursor across it.
4. right click on the highlighted (highlit?) title
5. left click on "copy" on the pop-up menu.
6. come back to where you want the pic and right click.
7. on the pop-up left click "Paste".
viola

Personalphotos have to be first posted to a website, I think.

13. I posted this somewhere yesterday ............
My boyfriend's mother is a "big-time ditto head." I ordered one of these for her for Christmas. She is going to hate it, but she does have a good sense of humor.

I can't wait to see her reaction.

I found this one to be pretty good.

It's easy to upload and compress your picture, then they give you and URL you can post here.

but how can I post a photo from my My Yahoo Photo albums? I've tried copying the properties into my post, I've tried copying the url into the post - neither one seems to do it! It's a jpg I'm trying to do - I don't have trouble posting from other sites, just from my Yahoo photo album! :(
