That's It! Everything is made in China.
Michael Doulton, owner of the famous Doulton ceramics company in England, was selling a china figurine on a tv shopping show recently. It was $69.95 which is really cheap for one of their figurines. He turned it over and there on the tag it said 'Made in China'. Oops!

6. When the same job in the US would pay twice that or more?
They are getting exploited just so our handful of American CEOs can have bigger paychecks.

7. There still is a lot of cottage industry in this country
I switched my canvas supplier to a US manufacturer from one that was in China. It's more expensive but better quality, and the customer service is better.

8. We're retiling our kitchen, and...
were tile shopping. I picked up one that looked nice, flipped it over - saw it was made in China and put it right back down.
