In other football news, the UND Fighting Sue won today in the D2 semis.

The University of Ralph Engelstad beat the University of North Alabama today 29-22 at the Grand Forks Tin Quonset, otherwise known as the Alerus Center. Two UNA starting players tested positive for drugs earlier this week, and could not play today. Another tainted playoff win for the Fighting Sue.

The Girly Sue play Grand Valley State for the Division II championship next week in Florence, Alabama, the city where the playoff game should've been played TODAY. The reason is because before today, UNA was an undefeated 12-0 and UND was 11-1, but the idiots at the D2 playoff committee were either smoking up something fierce, or had been payed under the table by the UND athletic director.

Now I really don't give a flying shit about D2 football anymore, because we at NDSU are moving up to Division I (D-IAA in football) officially in May, and the UND idiots have not only refused to move up to D-I with NDSU, but have refused to continue the 110-year-old rivalry with the Bison in all sports even after we asked UND if they'd like to sign a two-year provisional contract that would temporarily keep the rivalry going.

I guess they think they're better than us, even though NDSU is moving up to bigger and better things. We're playing the Minnesota Gophers in football in 2006. we've got the future to deal with. UND can deal with being content in a dilluted D-II, I don't care. UND can kiss my ass. I don't care about them anymore. They can have their D-I college hockey and be a big fish in a little pond like everybody else. I don't give a crap if they win the DII championship this year. NDSU earned 8 of them in the past, and will start earning more I-AA football championships once the provisional period is over in 2006.
