My upstairs neighbor's insane mother is visiting and pounding on my doors
1 big house, 2 apartments

The last time she came to visit him, she got in my face and screamed at me because I have two entrances to the house and her son only has one. He is a quiet, normal, easy to get along with person who I never have problems with. But his mother is a raving lunatic.

So tonight I ignored her knocking on my door. She knows I'm here, my car is in the driveway. She knocked on the outside door and both inside doors, rang the bell, called my name 5-10 times and looked in the window. But I did not give in, I was unresponsive. The phone rang. I did not pick up but saw on caller ID that it was her.

She visits twice a year. She'll start out talking very soft and sweet and ask me if I have blue yarn and then twenty seconds later she is screaming at me because I don't give her a key to my entrance or something absurd like that. She's a lunatic.

1. have you told your neighbor to keep his mom to himself?
There's absolutely NO reason for her to do that!

2. I'm pretty sure he went out drinking with the boys tonight
just to get away from her. I don't think he has any control over what she does... I think her visits make him absolutely miserable, but he is a dutiful son.

One time she brought down putrid rotting meat and asked me if I wanted it for my dog. I said no and she put it outside- she threw food garbage all over the front lawn and I swear there were vultures that came.

3. I hope she doesn't stay long.

Maybe you could complain to your landlord about her.
