8. also, how is an opinion a spoiler...
...unless the surprise was the song choice???

Plus, I'm sorry but Paris is the one who rocked it.

(OMG, now everyone knows I'm watching American Idol this season.)

26. Nah, it's gonna be Ace saying "bye, bye"
There's a reason you never hear "We Will Rock You" on radio outside as a lead in to "We Are The Champions". The piece is hardly a traditional "song". I'd describe the primary vocal part as "speaking in rhythm" and even the chorus is more a chant than actual song so it really doesn't allow anyone to show any real singing ability.

Bad choice of song and a genuinely sucky performance. The only hope Ace has is that his looks carry enough votes to place him ahead of Bucky.

32. Ace deserves the boot, if for no other reason than trying to tell Queen
how to alter the arrangement to fit in with his own vocal limitations, not once, but TWICE!!! I post at another board discussing the show, and someone had copied something from a fan site where they were attempting to "protest", saying that Queen's criticism of the ass-nozzle hurt his chances before he even performed...

Oh, and one more thing...GO ELLIOTT!!

Would have loved to have seen him get a guitar upside the head for that one.

17. That would require knowing what I'm about to see in the list of posts.
What's wrong with using "SPOILER" in the title of the post, and keeping the surprises inside the body of the post?

9. I think she did a great job
as well. Ballsy choice (what's ballsy?)

Taylor did a good job as did Bucky. Chris' vocals were good but IMO it wasn't very entertaining and Ace sucked.

I knew she was going to suck, but I was surprised at just how bad it was. I don't think the judges were listening to the same load of crap that I was.

She's faking.

know a lot of people who say sal-mon. I don't, but it is kind of a southern thing. I don't think is is faking, just stretching it a little.

34. agreed- with the Jessica Simpson phenomenon
she is a smart cookie... there is a huge market for 'dopey' good looking blondes-- she does, in my opinion, have a kind of charm, and she is looking beyond AI celebrity (a big career).

i think she will land a tv show, at least, if she wants it. That talentless posing dumb-ass Constantine Maroulis was offered a part in one, I've heard.

BTW- there's a funny site called http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show.cgi?show=89 that reviews the most popular TV shows- including AI.

16. I could've done without the squatting and knee-bouncing bump-n-grind
towards the end, but maybe that's just me! Vocally, everyone was predicting a Hall of Shame performance, so grading on the curve, it wasn't all that horrible.

22. I liked what she did, but Constantine's version last year was better. But:
The lighting on Kellie tonight was astonishingly bad... made her look like the Pilsbury dough boy as a goth zombie. I bet she wishes she could erase all existing copies of the first half of her performance.

24. Actually, I think she simply benefited from a low expectation
The general preliminary impression everywhere (including the judges it appears) was "what the hell is she thinking".

Despite a total WTF beginning she managed to not embarrass herself and gave a capable performance.

Because everyone expected a train wreck and didn't get one it was perceived to be better than it actually was. I imagine if someone like McPhee had given that performance it would have been seen as something less favorable.

28. Kellie did much better than I thought she would
She didn't do great, but it was much better than I expected.

Bottom 3 IMO: Ace, Paris & Bucky

Ace did the worst, easily. Bucky did OK making it a Southern Rock song. I love Paris' vocals but the whole performance was just out there. Best she has done since Midnight Train to Georgia though. Ace gets voted off tonight.

to follow. Some were okay, which she was IMO. Better than most of us thought, I think. Elliot did the best to me.
