2. Bwuhahaha! I love it!
Now that's a piece of kitsch I'd be willing to buy.

I don't think it's tacky at all. Nowhere near the level of artistic abomination of a precious Moments.

4. I have been to ground zero of "Precious Moments" near Carthage, MO
taken there by the sister of a long ago boyfriend who wanted me to see the chapel where people could get married.

Precious Moments stained glass windows, and murals, I kid you not.

Needless to say, I didn't last long with that family, and am now happily married to a man with taste.

Thank you Jesus!

14. That sounds really scary
I have a couple of Precious Moments figurines that people bought me years ago. I've often wondered if they are worth anything, since I have them packed away at the moment.

I remember when they first came out, because originally, only Zondervan's (Family Bookstores, now) carried them.

I didn't realize there was a chapel somewhere decorated with those images. That sounds almost as bad as the catholic church my uncle had his funeral in-orange shag carpeting on the podium, an ultramodern mural that could only have been painted in the 50s (in orange and blue, like HOJOs), and a couple of gory pictures of saints in all their agony.

The Son of God would have it perfectly centered. O8)

7. Whoever came up with that must have had faith
that the gullible, dumbed-down 'Murcans would shell out $$$$ for it.

10. A few years back,
THE DOOR (a Christian satire magazine) did a thing called "Precious Moments We'd Like to See". My favorite was the Precious Moments Crucifixion.
