2. Nope.
We bought it from an 86 year old woman, the only owner. She didn't want us to remove the paneling from the basement, but assured us it never leaked. Neither did the roof. Well, since then we found out the basement leaks like a fucking sieve (2 foot jets of water from the foundation wall on bad rain days) and the roof is now leaking through all the soffits. Don't ask me about the hundreds of square feet of concrete they laid around the house to stop the water leaking.

Unfortunately, she died about a year after we bought it, so we can't sue regarding lying on the disclosure statement.

Basically, I bought the fucking Money Pit!

3. you should sell it cheap and cut your looses
Its better than the bank getting all the money and you dont want a foreclosure on your records.

Good luck however you deal with it.

7. Well, we're working on it. Have to see what the bank has to say.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can even get my investment back. Otherwise, I'd have sold it before now.

4. Did you have a home inspection done?
If so, didn't they find anything wrong?

8. Wow... I'm so sorry to hear that.
Hang in there. These things always have a way of working out.

I wonder if anyone here knows of groups or agencies that help people with this kind of problem?
