Homeowners: PLEASE tell me someone has tried this lawn mower!


CORDLESS electric 18" deck. it takes me about 45 minutes to mow my lawn. this says it will run up to 1 hour on a single charge. so quiet you could mow at midnight without your neighbors hearing you (if you were so inclined i suppose)

no gas, no oil, no pulling, no noise. i wonder if it cuts like a gas mower? :shrug:

1. $380 for the mower
and $80 for a spare battery if you need it. I don't think that's a bad price. I've never heard of it until now, though, so I don't know how well it cuts.

3. Not that exact one, but we did have an electric mower for a while
It worked great, extremely quiet. We ended up getting a lawn service, but still have that mower.

6. Virginia. It is currently in the storage unit. I don't know if he wants
to sell it, frankly, but it has been a long time since he mowed the lawn.

10. I haven't used that model, matcom, but I've used a very old
electric mower for about five years here, and they are, indeed, quieter, less stinky, and best of all, no gas. It cuts beautifully because we regularly replace the blade (rather than having it sharpened). I personally believe electric is the way to go, though I mow with a cord rather than a charge, and I'm skeptical about the one-hour run-time on a single charge. I don't even have that kind of luck with a brand new laptop.

I was expressing my skepticism for all things requiring a charge. :hi:

Edited to add: My laptop is not a Mac. :silly: But my first computers were Macs, and I can go either way.

but the graphic artist who works for CMW's business, and does the promotional materials for my exhibits, is, and he feels that way about _every_ OS. :rofl:

(No need to go yoiksing away. You crack me up about 85 percent of the time, DS1, just so ya know. :D )

18. I have an electric lawnmower, still going great after 9 years. Not
cordless, has a grass catcher attachment. No pulling, no gas, no oil, much lighter weight. Much much quieter. Cuts very well.

I need a new blade for mine, but that's easy enough. We have a very long heavy duty fire engine yellow extension cord.

One my favorite features is the actual on/off mechanism. it is a lever which flips up into the handle, so you just grip it as part of driving the mower. If you take your hands off the mower, it turns off instantly. Mine will mulch or cut normally.

When it dies, I will replace it with another electric.

No gas, no oil, no pulling, no noise. And I actually have mowed at ungodly hours of the morning because it gets so damn hot here in the summer. FYI, I have about 2,000 square feet of lawn.

It works for me, but I have a small yard.
