9. Oh wow. We just got back from the in-laws.

Seriously, JVS, don't blow those sirens off. If you saw the News Gazette today you might have seen that article on Ogden when it got nailed by an F3 a few years ago. Tornadoes are not a joke around here.

A couple of weeks ago our area got nailed with bunch of bad storms and we were without power for 36 hours. Out west of town there was some damage from small tornadoes, and Flatville (yes, there really IS a town called Flatville!) sustained some pretty serious damage.

You can ALWAYS spot the Midwesterners because WE are the guys looking for cover when a tornado warning goes up. People DIE from this shit.

Glad we missed the excitement, but I'm sorry I was not around to sound the "all clear" for you.

10. Hello. I'm here to report we had lightning and hail in the valley

in Beaverton, Oregon today. Kind of unusual. There were periods of gorgeous sunlight, followed by intense rain, hail, thunder, etc.

I hope no one was hurt. Some of the lightning strikes seemed very close.
