The best Christmas show ever is on tonight----

That'd be Christmas Vacation, on NBC tonight.

My favorite Christmas show and I'm sure most can agree with me there.

I wish they wouldn't "edit it for television," though. Just thinking of the scene where Cousin Eddie is cleaning out his septic tank .... eeeuuuuwwww. I told my husband that we have to rent the DVD this week.

It's one of my favorites especially when the Dog throws up under the table.

The pix and sound are fab. The disc also contains the original trailer and a commentary track that features Bev d'Angelo, Randy Quaid and a few others. Well worth the $15 they're asking for it at the stores (it's also boxed in a 4-DVD set of all the Vacation movies...and I think they're all in widescreen). The widescreen version of Xmas Vac has a red border on the package and says "Special Edition." It also comes packaged with a Griswold ornament for your tree.

BTW - Randy Quaid says on the commentary that he had a running joke on the pix of stuffing either an Evian or a Coke bottle down his pants. I never noticed it before, but check out the scene at Wal-Mart with Clark. Hilarious!
