My son is hurling a hairball...
Oh, my mistake...He was singing a death metal song.

Doesn't it hurt to do that with your voice? Is there a proper way to make that sound without damaging your vocal cords?

Yeah, that kind of singing can seriously damage the vocal aparatis... fortunately, most people give it up long before that happens;)


Cool, though. It's not easy to get that two-level growl thing happening. Aren't kids a blast? heh!

8. A number of years ago, PBS had a show about Richard Feynman
and his quest for Tannu Tuva. That's where I first heard throat singers apply their craft.

If I'm not thinking to hard, I can conjure up overtones with my voice, and they sound so cool. I'd love to learn this technique myself, since the taboos agains women throat singers are diminishing.
