Good Saturday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
And welcome to the Saturday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: We made it to the weekend! :woohoo: Today is the day that, when we were kids, we'd get up early because the cartoons would start at 6am and run all morning long! The "Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show" lasted two hours and we'd roll on the floor in gales of laughter no matter how many times we'd seen the same one!

I hope you had a good week, with little stress and you now have some nice plans for the next two days! :bounce: I, myself, have to work today...but I'm off tomorrow, so I at least get one of the two days off! :woohoo:

SO!...are you ready to get this day started with me? It's time, you know! RISE AND SHINE! :bounce:

I need to get down there before she moves as well! But I'm not sure I can...I'll just have to see what my schedule is like. Tony LOVES carrots and will eat as many as we'll give him! He's hilarious with them too...we buy the baby carrots and he'll walk around with one sticking out of his mouth for a few minutes before he starts eating it! He looks so cute when he does that!

Anyway, I *may* have heard once over an ad on the T.V. a song that had lyrics that could be construed as similar to the title of that song. Closer, closer! Just 19864 more days until one I recognise!

37. You should ask in the pet forum, Clint.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=243

For what it's worth, I've read all sorts of explanations for that problem. Ginger always does his business outside, except on two occasions he did it indoors _in_ the litter box. Once it was when he had collitis, and the other time, he had a urinary tract problem caused (the doctor said) by eating cheap dry cat food and a "too white" diet of only chicken and fish.

We've learned that any time we notice a change in Ginger's potty behavior, he's trying to tell us something.

I'll send Bandit, you and Greekspeak some good vibes.

43. Thanks for the info, Miss Heidi!
I've heard that a cat having a urinary tract infection can make them un-litter box trained. I think we'll just take him to the vet and have him checked out. Thank you for the good vibes.

50. Good morning Clint.
:hi:

I'm afraid that this will be a flying visit as I'm about to go out shopping, just need to grab my jacket, keys, wallet, mobile and that sort of stuff.

I'm in a super happy mood today, a new C.D. arrived - Tomas Luis da Victoria (1548-1611) - it has two Masses (Missa Gaudeamus, and Missa pro Victoria) along with a bunch of shorter anthems/motets. I listened to it over breakfast and it really is the most gorgeous thing. :bounce: :bounce:

Sorry to hear that you have to work today, at least you get tomorrow off - that's the problem with us grumpy consumers wanting to shop at the week-ends. :eyes:

Hope that you have a good day nonetheless.

144. Must resist inclination to make bad joke about northern weather.
:P

Glad to hear it, the whole place (including the people) become so much happier when the weather is good. Thankfully, I've only seen one man without his shirt on, and as he was doing some pretty vigorous work cleaning his drive (of what I'm not sure) so he can be excused. I mean, among admirers of the male body, I come pretty high up there - but why is it that it's nearly always the chaps who can't quite pull it off who remove their shirts?

Now I just need Xema here to explain what the different birds, merrily chirping in the garden, are.

148. The little ones with white bits on their cheeks are sparrows
The smaller ones are dunnocks, I think. Oh, and the larger black ones with yellow beaks are blackbirds, of course. They flick their tails on landing, apparently. And the females are brown, not black.

Okay, that's my bird knowledge exhausted. :)

131. Yesterday I mentioned
to Clint that there was a really bad accident in an intersection nearby that we frequently use. Apparently, the bride to be's mother was driving her own sister and the bride's cousins who had come into town earlier for the wedding back to her home (it was late, 3a.m.). They were hit on the driver's side by a guy from Lakeland (with a not too stellar driving record and liquor on his breath). There weren't any skid marks. The mother, and 2 cousins died, the sister and another niece are in critical condition. Since the mother had done the major planning and work on the wedding, it will go as planned today. Very sad

What was I thinking! :banghead:

Have you changed litters? Even if you haven't, perhaps Bandit decided he didn't like what's in there. Sabrina did that after we had used the same litter for almost 8 years. We switched to Dr. Elsey's (from Petsmart). They also have one called Cat Attract, which I hear works very well. You might also want to take him in for a checkup. Kitties can get a urinary blockage that becomes serious and the first sign often is inappropriate peeing.

106. Oh ... I misunderstood.
Usually it's peeing. But the pooping also makes sense that he might not like the litter. I'll cross my fingers. We were scratching our heads for quite a while with Sabrina. But it turned out that she also had food allergies and her tummy was upset. She's fine now, and sitting beside me in her favorite little place. :loveya:

116. Would you believe ...
he took a glass of water up on the roof to pour into the rain gauge to test whether the sprinklers would turn off if it was raining! You mean that has to work?! And he also called the company that made our thermostat when he couldn't get it to heat above 82 degrees. We just bought the damn thing in November and I was prepared to be pissed off if he said we had to buy a new one. But he found out how to override the setting. Who wants to heat their house above 82 degrees in Florida? :wtf:

He was really nice, though. He told the buyer, "I can tell when they clean the house for the inspection and when it's just plain a clean house. This is a very clean house!" The buyer was just beaming. He sat there with his associate talking about how to arrange his furniture.

132. Well, l think he can afford a pizza
with the money he saved. He can buy a whole truckload of 'em! No, he's not a first-time buyer ... and he's a realtor! I guess he really likes the house! He said yesterday that he was really happy to find a home without carpeting and it's a bonus that he likes it, too. I guess he didn't want to do ANY remodeling! We have our walls painted all sorts of colors and he's going to leave them. He says it's a happy house. :bounce:

So next week I get to get ready for a visit from my Mom. She'll be here for two weeks starting May 2 -- her last FL vacation. I told her I'm going to put her to work helping me pack. (Actually, I won't start packing yet, but I had to tease her about it.)

89. Morning all - hope everyone is doing fine and looking forward to..........
....to this weekend. I plan to take it easy and give this back of mine a chance to recover a little bit. My T.E.N.S unit will be my constant companion the next few days.:pals:

Other than that I plan to catch me a movie or two on cable and try to think of new and better ways to run all neocons/fundies into the ground.
