5. My dad used to tell us to get in the back yard
and settle our differences. He used to say duke it or out talk it out but don't come back in until it's settled. Needless to say it was never worth it to me going in the back yard to finish. lol

of the 7 year old, but it never works in reverse. ;)

8. Once my father broke up a fight by...
telling us that if we were going to beat each other we should get our headgear on (both of us were in karate) and go fight in the garage. It was actually pretty smart, because by the time by sister & I went to our rooms, put our karate gear on, went back down to the garage, we were pretty much calmed down.

17. Yeah, my mom freaked out about it though.

She was like, "YOU CAN'T TELL THEM TO DO THAT!!!" He told her that we "were fighting anyway and at least our heads would have foam padding."

My dad was a really cool, but crazy. guy. He was a street fighter and bouncer when he was young and was filled with ridiculous stories.

18. It is good for parents to tell their stories. My dad has a million and
a half, and I am in the process of writing them down.

I have no idea why your mom would have been upset. ;) :hi:
