Who owns a nice rock in a cool place upon which I could live?
Edited on Mon Jul-28-03 06:03 PM by The Lone Liberal
Once again it is over the century mark temperature-wise. So, it came to me in a sweat delirium that surely there is someone out there that owns one unused uninhabited rock that is located in a cool place upon which I could squat until it cools off down here in hell.

Sort of a promise not to intrude, not to seek sustenance, definitely no conversation, just the use of your rock for a couple months or two or three…hell, it may well be forever. I am well-trained, literate, and low maintenance. I swear that all debris from my stay will be cleared prior to departure and departure will be when the geese fly north, no later, I hope.

How about it, you got no use for the rock at the moment, so hows about letting me use it for a bit?

Oh yea, you can ask me anything.

1. A possibility?
My neighbors, the people at Agape Community, in Hardwick Mass, have a nice hermitage. The Hermitage is a cool little cabin set back in the woods on a big rock ledge overlooking their 2 community houses and gardens. They just kind of sneak up and leave you food 3 times a day.

I'm not sure where you're from.. It is hot here. But if you are from the southern half of the country, it will be a releif from the heat, if not more opressive worries. If fix their computers and do occasional volunteer work there. I'm not sure of availability, but their busy times tend to be during the spring and fall. You should definately call.

One of the perc's is that they are less than a mile from the Quabbin Reserviour, the cleanest water you'll find anywhere and beatiful (forbidden) beaches. You can sneak out for a nighttime swim, and foul Boston's water supply :D This of course is illegal and I would never seriously suggest such a thing.. ahem.

2. I have a tree I won't be using for awhile
with a good view of a bunch of nothing. Very quiet, though at times the huge blackbirds call it home. I know, it's not as good as a rock, but if another offer doesn't come along, then consider the tree.
