Happy Birthday Jim Morrison--60 years old today

Anyone been to his grave in Paris--forget the name of the cemetrary, but Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein, and lots others are buried there. Anyway, people go to pay homage, so much so that they leave their beer cans, cigarette butts, and spray grafitti on the surrounding tombstones. It's disgusting. Paris wants to ship Jim back to the good old US of A, and I can't say I blame them!

Anyway, not his fault--Happy Birthday anyway!

Pere Lachaise is the cemetary, and last I heard the Morrison family had paid to have the graffiti cleaned up and security guards posted.

And the French government is not about to give up the 3rd or 4th biggest tourist attraction in Paris... ;-)

As an aside, I was already a Clark supporter, but when the General told a NH radio station that his favorite bands were The Beatles, The Stones and The Doors I knew I'd made the right choice.
