We played an outdoor gig for an overnight "tent-in" for earth day, and it was unseasonably cold that spring. I was playing the guitar with fingerless gloves, and I could see my breath while singing.

THe song still rocked.

we only had one guitar player (me), and I was also singing, too. So we let the keyboard player (my then-gf) do that part.

Part of the gig was that we had to play a "topical" song between all our twisted originals and various Butthole Surfer covers, so that was the one we picked.

ALl the self-righteous Preppy J. Crew Hippies were pretty pissed off that we didn't play any Indigo Girls or Bob Dylan, but it was totally worth it.

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. I actually thought it was a pretty rockin' tune when I heard the original years ago.
