A slightly more intellectual post game: The Year Association Thread.
Ok, so maybe its not "intellectual", but it's fun :) Here's how it works: A year is posted. You have to find something interesting that occured in that year, tell us what it is, and then post a new year. Someone else has to figure out something interesting that happened that year, post it, and then post a new year of their own. I've seen this done on many other boards and it's always fun, so I'd like to see how well it works here on DU. The only rule? It does have to be a date from recorded history. It's kind of like word association, but instead of testing your literary abilities, it challenges your knowledge of history.

I'll start.
