Three words you should NEVER hear from a parent

A few weekends ago we had a gathering for my wife's birthday. My in-laws, sister-in-law and her husband, and two friends from California came to the party. After my father-in-law had already consumed a bottle of Zinfandel, we all went next door to the Left-Wing functional alcoholic lesbians' backyard to enjoy a fire in the fire pit. My father-in-law brought another bottle of Zin with him.

After a while, one of my neighbors starts in on a story about too much information coming from a religious right co-worker. He announced he was giving his daughter a quarter for her 16th birthday, this to clench between her legs, since she had already been pregnant twice.

At this point my father-in-law, in the presence of his daughters, and now drinking a bottle of Merlot having finished the second bottle of Zin, asks if anyone believes he and my mother-in-law still had a sex life. I was dying laughing. I finally caught my breath long enough to hear the words "BANGING YOUR MOTHER" come out of his mouth.

My ribs still hurt...

Well, that was wrong in a whole lotta ways, lemme tell ya, and my Mom would have knocked his block off if she had known he said that. But it remains one of my fondest memories of my late Dad.
