Kitten photos!

I foster for a local animal welfare organization and about a month ago I took in a pregnant kitty. She had three kittens on Easter Sunday. So these little ones aren't yet 3 weeks old. Aren't they cuties though?

Potential adoptors fill out an app. after seeing a cat or kitten they might want on the org.'s website. The org. gives the foster parents the # of the person who has been screened. You call them to set up a time for them to meet the prospective pets. If you are not comfortable or there isn't a good match, you can advise the org. that it won't work out. If anything it's too strict!

I also have a friend who has been interested for a companion kitten for the one she has now (so both of her sons will have "his" cat) so if she goes through the paperwork, I suspect she will adopt one of them.

but not thin--they are very well fed!

My special cat probably never tipped the scales at more than four or five pounds. She really was tiny. Best mom cat I ever saw. Kittens were robust and extremely well behaved. Also great mousers. She never had more than 3 to a litter, but there were always 6-10 people wanting kittens, as they lived out in a more rural area and good mousers were important!

Her kittens were so well fed and clever it was amazing.

Gads, after 7 years, I still miss her so much.

The one chewing on my clothes is the male. The ones with the white paws are female (I think).

I almost lost my 13yr old kitty last night... Vet visit and ER surgery later.. she is a ornery as ever..:)..
