Tonight's meditation session is for Abundance. Want on the list?
Edited on Fri May-05-06 05:14 PM by BlueIris
I will duplicate the list from yesterday, and these folks in particular don't need to post a request to be meditated for:

Binka and Ben, southlandshari, rbnyc, Skinner, BigMcLargeHuge, LadyHawk, SeattleGirl, HypnoToad, ashling, RetroLounge, mehr, Sugar Smack, LaraMN, progmom, LeftyMom & LeftyKid, OhioBlues and fam, stellanoir, my beloved Redstone, woodsprite, cassiepriam, TayTay, Vektor, MrBenchley, and BOSSHOG. From the public world, John, Alexandra and Vanessa Kerry, Teresa Heinz Kerry, Ted Kennedy, David Souter, Oregon's own Ted Kulongoski and Fitz.

Everyone who asked for energy last night is covered, too. But if anyone new wants to post, feel free. Abundance candles and the meditation I do while they burn absolutely ROCK. They always bring me money, unlike the Money candles, which just bring me discounts. Anyhoo, let me know.

I meditate too!!

I just found out last night, I'm in a karmic year, meaning everything that can go wrong will.
Believe me it has! I knew something was off kilter, it has been a complete disaster for me.

the good thing is, my suspiscions have been confirmed and now I can weather the storm with more ease knowing things will get back on track for me, I just have to fight through all this drama. my finances are what has been hardest hit.

8. Of course -
And I will be doing a meditation and burning an abundance candle myself tonight, teenager willing.

The drama she's always bringing to the house creates a very unstable atmosphere, which doesn't help one bit.

Sigh.

We're waiting on funds coming in to help cover ever increasing costs - it always seems that when we have to pay our debts, we have to do so immediately, or we get stuck with greater and greater penalties when we can't do that. When someone/some organization owes us, they alway seem to be able to wait six months to a year or so...with no penalty to them.

All debts be paid, all needs be met. That's all I ask for us - and everyone else who needs a helping hand.

Haele

Not that there's anything abnormal about juggling like eighty financial and material obligations in this day and age, I was just observing that your situation sounds stressful, especially with an adolescent in play. When I was a teenager, even though I was a "good kid" (no drugs, no boys, no high risk behavior)? Can you say "histrionics"? And how. I'm sure she is NOT helping.

Some advice? Hook yourself up with some high quality sage, open all the doors and windows early on Mother's Day (full moon, but before it's void) and smudge all the rooms. That should clear out some of the negative energy that is exacerbating things. Spend extra time in your areas your kid frequents. Your kid might also benefit from being given a nice piece of snowflake obsidian, possibly (for absorbing extremities of emotion, like rage) and some blue kyanite (for promoting good feelings or at least balancing them with yucky ones).

30. Thanks - A good saging will probably help -

And since I'm always the first one up, it should'nt be too hard to accomplish.
Kidlet sleeps like a rock, she wouldn't notice a thing - even if I waved a flaming sage bundle next to her head.

Since there's a bead/findings "warehouse" near work, I'll get some snowflake obsidian beads (and perhaps some silver figured beads - like skulls, stars or moons - that "goth/punk" element is in play with her right now)and suggest for her next boredom project, a bracelet or bangle. I've got enough other findings elements and tools around the house that she can make something sturdy.
If she makes it herself, she might be more aminable to the influences. That is, if she follows through (sigh). We're always starting projects but they never seem to be finished.

Thanks for the advice.

Haele

35. Clever.
Edited on Sat May-06-06 07:48 PM by BlueIris
Doing it while she's asleep, that is.

About the sage--make sure that it's the best you can buy. I've noticed that it helps to ask the store owner what he or she personally uses. And make sure you do it earlyish on the night of the full moon. I did a cleansing for the first time ever on a full moon day and that was (almost) the cleansing to end all cleansings. My Wiccan friends laughed at me for being impressed with how effective that is.

About the obsidian--tell the seller what you're going through and see if he or she has any additional suggestions regarding metaphysical tools, (stones or other things) to help soothe an adolescent in the grip of her teenage years. The only problem I see with what you're suggesting is that snowflake obsidian has a shelf life, so to speak, of a few weeks in the lives of those utilizing it. After that, many sellers will tell you to get rid of it, because it is saturated with your negativity. After it gets that way, you need to dispose of it, because it can actually start backfiring and fueling negative emotions. Burying it in the earth is my preferred method of disposal. So, if you can't come up with a better solution for getting her the obsidian, ask the seller you get the stone from for help. Hmmmm. As I'm typing this, it occurs to me that a person doesn't absolutely need to hold the stone they're using to reap its benefits--especially one as powerful at absorbing unhappiness and rage as snowflake obsidian. I leave a collection of them on my dresser, which is next to the door to my bedroom, and that has helped me manage my anger immensely (in a psychic sense, anyway). Oh, if I'd known about gemstones when I was fifteen...

Also, as the seller may tell you, hematite can be helpful at sucking negative energy out of someone. But it's not for everyone. Hematite doesn't work for me and it might not work for your kid.

One more suggestion before I bail to meditate some more...I know this is going to sound batshit crazy, but: holy water. Blessed by the best officiant you can find. I'm not Catholic, I'm not even Christian, but a couple of months ago, I diluted some holy water that had allegedly been blessed by an Archdiocese into a little spray bottle I bought at Safeway, opened all of the doors and windows in my house, and sprayed it in every room while asking for cleansing. I didn't say Christian prayers and did not invoke any specific religion while conducting the cleansing. Aside from the sage-usage-on-the-full-moon, my house has never felt so clean. (In explanation, there's some nasty dark energy that is totally entrenched here. I never thought I would be the type to believe in that, even with my metaphysical leanings--'cause it sounds like an idea you'd hear about from a bad fortune teller or something--but after three years residing here, it's obvious to me that something is very, very wrong with this place. I cleanse it every week because it's so bad, and I can feel that it's cleaner after I'm done with each session, but that clean atmosphere always evaporates after about seven days. Bad news, because that kind of negative energy is indicative of...heavy shit, the kind that is way beyond me to deal with, and it's one of the reasons I'm relocating soon. I wish my roommates luck. They're the co-owners of the property, have a thirty-year mortgage and don't intend to leave. Plus, they're Republicans, and because they aren't people who are truly devoted to anything apart from themselves, they're more vulnerable to whatever it is than I am. I know this sounds morbid, but I think the dark energy has already "gotten" to one of them.) It's nutty, and might conflict with the tenants of you're own faith, but it worked for me, I swear.

13. Not me. I'd rather give my spot to those still Katrina stricken.
I've got all I need to survive. Many of them have nothing, and no help coming from those they should be able to depend upon.

They can have my spot. Thanks.

16. Thank you so much, BlueIris
This one is particularly important to me right now, as my work load has been so low that I'm not making what I usually make, and it's hurting me in terms of paying bills. I know abundance is not just about money, but right now, that's the part of abundance that affects me the most.

21. Uh, actually, the Abundance candles aren't supposed to be about money...
or, not just about money, but they're the only candles that literally bring me cash after I meditate while burning them. It's not unusual for people to literally hand me money or for me to find money after I've done an Abundance meditation session. No, I don't know why that would happen. And I don't care. True, the candles can have different effects on different people, but on the off-chance the Abundance ones will help the Lounge in the same manner in which they help me, I'm inclined to share the wealth.

Incidentally, another alleged benefit of the Abundance candle is enhanced psychic ability and increased creativity, which I have also noted develop in my own life for a week or so after burning these things. It's good stuff. Very useful.

17. Ah, Loungers, you are MAGICAL!
I was cleaning out my candle holders just now, and the one which had the Protection candle from Thursday's meditation session was easy to clean. First time that's happened with a Protection candle. They usually wreck my candle holders, a tradeoff I deal with because they work so damn well. But not this time! HA!
