Gaah! College Conservatives! Bastids!
Why don't their heads explode from cognitive dissonance?!

I was in the Student Center and the DePaul Conservative Alliance were holding signups for "Patriot Day" (whatever the fuck that is).

I had to give their table a wide berth as I walked by because I was afraid I might be tempted to turn it over if I got too close.

Nothing worse than a College Chickenhawk. And lemme tell ya, their chapter president is such a smug asshole. I have never seen him without a shit-eating grin on his face. God, you just wanna knock a couple of his teeth out so he'll have to close his mouth every once in a while.

Fuckpantsheads...all of them! :grr:

(Honestly, I have no idea why seeing this made me angry...normally I just cordially ignore people like this.)

4. Get yourself a big flag, a card table and a chair.
Edited on Mon May-08-06 06:34 PM by ocelot
Print out a whole bunch of these: http://www.rethinkingschools.org/archive/19_03/military_enlistment.pdf

Then set up your table, with a big stack of these forms, in the Student Center right near the College Conservatives' display. Hang the flag up behind your table.

Offer to mail in the forms for them. I'm sure they will be enthusiastic and grateful.

5. Perhaps (if you can stomach it) you should stand quietly and politely
across from them--with an invitation to get free guns

--and an armload of enlistment forms.

6. I have to work hard to keep my mouth shut
With my son-in-law who I thankfully don't see too often. He's not a college student - in fact, he isn't working at all right now. My daughter supports him and their two kids. He has no particular training, no real job prospects, supports Bush and the war ardently (as does she) yet he sits around at home doing nothing.

I want so badly to ask them why he isn't in uniform. After all, they both support the war, he's in his 20's, perfectly healthy. Wouldn't you think they'd be proud if he served? Hell, I DON'T support either the war or the administration but if any of my kids wore the uniform of their country, I would be proud of them. Scared, but proud. That's a hell of a committment.

But no, these assholes won't put their money where their mouths are. :grr:

8. There shouldn't be any college conservatives
because, in times like this, none of them should be in college. They should be defending our freedoms overseas!

9. I just wonder how their brains don't shut down from trying to rationalize.
Oh, right, I forgot...reality has a liberal bias. :eyes:

11. I really thing they do it
Out of ego--to stand out. "Look at me! I'm a conservative, I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, but I'm a conservative!"
With that smarmy little superior look. Of course they could have been indoctrinated by parents or conservative churches.

Inside, they are clueless little shits. Just like conservatives my age.

The problem is besides their fucked up attitude, is they make no sense whatsoever. I looked at a conservative board the other day through a link, and someone was gushing over bush being able to fly F102's therefore proving he had to be "sharp as a tack" So I look up bush's record. He had been demoted to a trainer because of concerns over his performance. I found this information in several places. Matter of public record.
Gawd.

12. At least some people at your school care about politics.
People at mine care nothing about anything that doesn't have to do with getting drunk, the parking problem, or the latest vandalism on the school mascot. :eyes:

13. On time my brother, a friend, and I were drinking heavily before a...
football game.

My friend is a Republican, but he claims he could be nothing else because it's the default party of Kansas, anyway he's ok. But these people show up from the "college conservative paper" It seems that every uni-paper has a conservative stalker. Anyway they start talking to us at the tailgate and eventually we tire of their presence and started yelling at them and telling them to fuck off or we'd smash our beer-bottles on them. It was cool
