I must confess my passion for the FIRTH OF FORTH

Finished in 1890, the Forth bridge was considered an engineering wonder of the world. It crosses the Firth of Forth, an estuary near Edinburgh, Scotland.

1. Me too.
I was there just after the new bridge opened. I forget what year, '64 or '65 maybe? The "new" bridge is quite nice, but the old one is spectacular.

2. Yikes!!! That's quite a structure!!!

I admit to having a phobia about bridges, and try to avoid crossing one whenever I can. I had an anxiety attack when I had to cross the following structure, the Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge (which locals call "the Twin Bridges"), which crosses the Hudson River just north of Albany, NY, week before last, but it between me and where I needed to go...:-(

This is truly an engineering wonder, and actually quite beautiful, but I'd have to be rendered unconscious if I had to cross it! I'd love to return to Scotland, and Edinburgh is a great city, but I can't imagine that I'll be crossing The Firth of Forth anytime soon...
:scared:

3. I love it too!
Went to Scotland in 2000, and I was awestruck at the Firth of Forth. Scotland is so incredibly beautiful, and the Firth of Forth is a great part of it. :) I wanna go back! :)
