John Amos RULES.

He and Esther Rolle made that show... Jimmie Walker being the only detriment, but hollywood loved him, therefore Walker got his way and the two elder stars had to live with it. You can see it in their characters at times as well; when responding to JJ's idiocy... and in some episodes where they are not featured, note the storyline. (though the VD episode is actually well done...)
