I once hi-fived a girl after and said something to the effect of "Thank christ that's over."
She was totally shocked.

I had been being a total asshole and she got really mad at me and yelled at me that she was done with my crap. I said that line with a grin on my face. She gave me the finger and stormed off.

I think I just cried. It took me a long time to get over and since it was my "first real love", I think I developed a bit of armor that stayed with me. :(

I've almost always been the dumper. I've still had plenty of hurts. Being a dumper in a bad situation when you once loved someone deeply and are being mistreated is no picnic either. I've never broken up with someone for stupid reasons.
