5. Yep. That's why I went with the idiot - proof kodak one share. After
reading the reviews and handling the others, I felt that the more complicated ones would be too, well, complicated.

That thing looks like the manual to the space shuttle. You're a braver woman than I!!!!!!

I tried a zodiac PDA palm pilot type thingy once and returned it out of frustration. I felt like a COMPLETE IDIOT.

Luckily a good friend, a real tech head, was kind enough to explain to me that it wasn't a question of my being stupid, but that some things weren't built intuitively.... as in, user friendly. Some stuff is crammed with gadgets and crap just for the get-what-you-paid-for bang for the buck... but that they often overwhelm themselves with too many options.

Good luck. Perhaps the best plan of attack is to just figure out how to use the basic options, than gradually add in the fancy stuff.

6. I'll be happy taking pictures and downloading 'em into my computer.

I have a long time to work out all the bells and whistles.

:hi: I did pick up a little carry-on as you suggested the other day. Thank you.

9. AH, I wanted to suggest you download Picasa, via google. It's a FANTASTIC
photoshop type photo download organizer tweaking program. It's free, it's from google, idiot proof download, and WONDERFUL to use. My daughter at 13 figured it out in literally 3 minutes, yet it has a lot of options and golly gee, I just love it!

Bets are that it's a LOT easier to use than anything that came with the camera. I learned my lesson the hard way on the kodak software; it isn't easy, even though the camera is.

Also, google your camera online, adding "user tips".. Chances are others have experienced the same frustration as you and a website has been set up to help you out.

Glad the bag idea worked out. Life is meant to be EASY!!!!!!

16. It might be easier than it looks.

I was just very surprised when I looked at it. With the (1st) lens it weighs almost 2 pounds.
I'll be ordering a zoom after I decide which one will best suit my needs

18. I already have an EOS 650.

I love it. That is one of the reasons I was willing to plunk down the big bucks for this one. I had the most wonderful professional photographer teach me how to take great shots with film 25 years ago. The only problem is that I can run through two or three rolls of film in one day. I thought about setting up a dark room and processing my own film as my uncle did when I was a child. I have the space but I never got around to it. This will be better and easier after I figure it al out. :)

19. I usually learn by trial and error as I 'm sure I will with this camera.

I just don't want to damage anything while I learn about it.

:hi: I was a drafting clerk when I was 18 so specs and blueprints don't bother me.
