How the hell did they make it? And why did we like them? :shrug:

Only decent song they had was the massively over-produced "We're An American Band."

7. Simplicity
They did the best with what they had. Good singer. Tight band. A really loud and full sound. Well structured guitar solos. Honestly, I can't explain it. ;)

9. I know why I liked 'em
I was really into keyboards then, so stuff like "Footstompin' Music" hooked me. And I thought "I'm Your Captain" was "poetic." :eyes:

We did a couple of their tunes in a band I was in: "Into The Sun" and "Inside Looking Out" — no, wait; we also did "Heartbreaker" and "Mean Mistreater." Anyway, I had to listen to those over and over to memorize the lyrics, and I remember thinking, "God, these guys suck."
