"BANGKOK: A Thai inmate boxer known as “Black Rose” lost to a Japanese champion in a prison bout that also cost her a chance to cut short her sentence, officials said yesterday.

Siriporn Sor Siriporn lost to Japan's Nanako Kikuchi, 31, who successfully defended her WBC Minimumweight title. The judges unanimously picked Kikuchi 97-93, 96-94 and 96-94 in the 10-round fight on Wednesday, the Corrections Department said.

“I do not regret losing. I will train harder because I like boxing and I will try to challenge her again,” Siriporn, 23, told the Siam Sport Daily. "
