I'm looking for technical help...

It is has been suggested to me that I take my old radio tapes and put them in some digital format so that they can be played on a computer, emailed, posted, that sort of thing.

How would I go about doing that? Are there services that do this sort of thing? Some of the tapes are on cassette, but most are on reel tapes. Has anyone else here done something similar? Any recommendations for me?

I have one and it works great. Or you could hook up an RCA > Mic cable from your stereo receiver to your sound card input jack and record either your reels or cassettes.

I can't do anything with the reels, because I don't have a reel-to-reel player. I suppose I'll have to hunt down a service that can transfer them, but I don't even know what to look under in the yellow pages.

3. try audio production services

or media production services-- you'll probably find something there

I know of a couple here in the Cities that would do it. But they're here and not there. :(
