We're off to San Diego!
Nini and I will drive separately, so we can leave my parents down there, so they can visit my Mom's best friend from high school and her husband (the couple who introduced my Dad to my Mom way back in 1962!).

My parents have been here since last Tuesday, driving across the country from NC to visit us. My Dad has helped finish our projects due to the remodeling. He put in new electrical outlets, new plates for them, put the stairway railing back up, installed new medicine cabinets, new blinds, new light fixtures, and new mirrors. He enjoys doing this stuff. :-)

My Mom spoiled Nini and I buying various household items (including a new Cuisinart coffee maker with a built-in grinder! Weeee!), and delivered our wedding bands too :D My great-grandfather's ring looks as good as it did back in 1914. Nini's ring contains stones that belonged to my late grandmother. It's a beautiful set.

I am bummed that today is our last day, and work awaits tomorrow. But it was a GREAT visit (including a trip to Disneyland last Friday - my first, and treating my Dad to a baseball game, watching the Mariners beat the Angels in 13 innings)!

So, how was your week? :hi:

1. How fun!
I wish I were with them! I LOVE that drive...are they coming home via the Southern route?

Michael and I are in Blowing Rock, NC this week; I am on the laptop that we had at the Grand Canyon--

The mountains are nice right now, but I am wearing a sweater and have the heat on--

Tell your folks we said "hi," and...when are you and Nini getting married? I cannot wait; I am so pleased for you and her-

Stephanie

2. They came here via I-40
But heading home they may go to Colorado where my Mom's sister and family live.

We'll get married anytime this summer... we'll let everyone know when that nears...

Stay warm, and we'll also let you know when we head to NC, it's our turn next.

3. On your way, take the 405 to Manhattan Beach
And pay Peggy a visit.

4. Manhattan Beach is north of where we live
So, that's a no-go.

That, and we're back home now. It was a great visit, and am sad it's over so soon...
