Atlanta area DUers - are women with implants that common there?

I was just in the Atlanta area for a couple of days on business, and it was my first time really in that part of the country in ages (back in the 70s, we drove to Florida a couple of times and once stopped at Stone Mountain in GA on the way down). One thing I noticed was an unusually large number of women with noticeable breast implants. I mean, I noticed it a lot more than when I went to California for a week long vacation several years ago, and I had thought California was the Mecca of plastic surgery? And, I did not get a chance to head out to any of Atlanta's famous strip joints. Heck, I didn't even get to go to a local Hooters.

I rarely notice implants here in Connecticut... but, maybe if CT women get them, they don't use quite so much silicone/saline? (well, back in the day when my ex-wife filed for divorce, I went to a few strip joints in CT and saw implants there...)

I'm not making a judgment on women that get implants, but it seemed odd that there were so many women with oversized jiggle-free breasts in the heart of the Bible Belt.

in exurbia & beyond, few women need them. fundy females tend to be extremely overweight.

they also seem to usually have wealthy husbands.

I have 2 friends down there who have had implants.

and, never really noticed it like this.

Maybe it was just timing... but, even in the Marriott restaurant, several of the waitresses looked like they could work at a local Hooters if they so chose.

noticed any implants in my area. Atlanta proper may be in the heart of the Bible Belt, but it is a very cosmopolitan city. So I wouldn't be surprised if there are plenty of breast implants in and around the city.

lots of strippers live and shop? There are a lot of strip clubs in the Midtown/Buckhead area.

Atlanta is known for its strip clubs--it's said to be a significant reason for trade groups selecting Atlanta for their conventions.

FWIW, I'm with the poster above--I live in the suburbs, and I don't notice many women with obvious implants. I do notice that a great many stunning women frequent the local Target. Not so much Publix or Kroger, but this one Target is the babe vortex for some reason. Go figure.

What part of town were you in?

I was at a Marriott, but I'm sure there are a few Marriotts in Atlanta.

And, this was not all young women (stripper types) - sometimes it was women in their 40s & 50s.

I was a bit worn out from the flight & didn't pay attention.

You might have been in an airport-area Marriott. Was it a short van ride, like around 10 minutes, or was it about half an hour? What places did you visit around your hotel?

I assume since you said "Inquisition" that there is something bad about Stone Mountain? And, since it is Georgia, possibly related to the Civil War?

Funny that wasn't mentioned on the official website when I went to check it out...

Breast implants have tiny magnets in them that pull on the optic nerves. It's true, I heard it on Seinfeld! :rofl:

Well, not quite this big... but, it did pass through my mind that maybe there was a Dolly Parton look alike contest going on in town.

it just boggles my mind that women would voluntarily elect to have silicone bags implanted in their chest

and, the women I saw weren't quite that large... but, like I said... Dolly Parton would not have stood out there.
