The "Not My Kid" mail drop is open.
I have set up an account/clearinghouse for data on getting your kid and mine the FUCK out of here before George et al can use them as cannon fodder for the next war.

The wife and I are in constant research mode for cheap housing to hide boys, immigration and naturalization data (if you want to go that route), and anything else related to Canada we come across.

PM/email me your address if you want to be added to the mail drop, as I don't want to post it in the clear for any Tom, Dick or Freeper to pick up.

They will not take my sons. Period.

1. I love how you folks think canada is the only country next to the USA
that you can go to.

Hey, more for me I guess.

2. I have most of my family in Canada.
Dad was the only immigrant on his side, and most of Mom's relatives had no kids and died.

Yes. More for you. May you enjoy it.

What do they call a pissed off Canadian with shitty healthcare?
An American.

3. Brazil?
How about Brazil? If I had to flee the country to avoid the draft I'd go to Brazil, especially during Carnivale. Right now the relationships between Brazil and the US seem to be a little, ummm, less obliging than the Bushoids would prefer (they're cosying up to Cuba, for example, and seem less than enthused with FTAA).

I don't know if there is an extradition treaty in effect but I'll bet a few bucks would deal with that pretty easily. We could set up an emigre colony or something.

And there's no snow.

Of course, if the guys went into the jungle they'd have to watch out for that male-specific parasite, but nothing's perfect, right?

Or you could stay in the US and fight these bastards.

5. I've been fighting those bastards for 33 years.
I no longer believe we'll win.

I turn 51 this week, and I don't want to fight anymore.

I certainly don't want my kids fighting.

As for Brazil, we have almost killed off the few thousand left who EVOLVED to live there. The rest of us are not equipped for that climate and range of bugs (6 legged AND microscopic).

I have family in Canada; it's where my family came from. I think it's time to go home.

4. irish citizenship
did you know that if you had a parent or grandparent that was an irish citizen, you are entitled to apply for irish citizenship? you can have dual citizenship if you want. once you have it, your kids are entitled to it. ok, so that's about all i know about it, cuz i have not done it yet, it is just hangin' there on my to do list.
and much as i am desperate to move that lazy, 19 year old hunk on my couch, i wont be sendin' him over there, no way.

7. If I can help it, they won't take my nephew.
His mom, my sister, will be with me, but his dad's a Promise Keeper. I'd say he's a freeper but he's not politically inclined beyond voting for * because he too is "born again." So I imagine the boy's dad will try to get him to enlist -- why wait for the draft? (Do not flame my brother in law -- for his faults, he's a good man and I love him.)

Thanks, Tyler.
