A group called. . .
"America needs family" is protesting the premier of the "Da Vinci Code" at all my local cinemas.

I guess they don't think Christ could have needed or had a family or somethin'.

Too bizzare.

4. Who?
I can't even figure out what their name is supposed to mean.

Of course my favorite way to parse it is, they're the "family" that deals with what America needs... and I certainly mean to imply that their characterization of their organization as a "family" would seem to have a lot in common with how the Mafia calls itself a family.

But we could also see it as an acknowledgement that America has diverged pretty severely from the Family of Man and needs to return soonest...

Haven't seen the movie yet myself, and my main interest in doing so is that that French actress was so cool in "Amelie."

Odd how those espousing "family values" are the first to rip apart the families of others (Christ, gays, Iraqis, soldiers, detainees, etc.)

Like who pray tell is anti-family anyhoo?

I agree with you but I'd much prefer "Family of Humanity" though.

How can you possibly make a Matriarchal slurr and lust for a steamy French actress in two concurrent sentences. Mind boggling really.

Oh that's right. It's that little virgin/whore disparity isn't it?

Perhaps that's where all this absurdity started in the first place.

Too peculiar in a way.
