Please tell me this is a joke...
that one of you guys posted this.

Please?

poisonous liberal drivel (would have NEGATIVE STARS if possible), May 18, 2006
Reviewer: Leicester City are Magic (metro Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
Prairie Wind is absolutely my last ever Neil Young album. I will not waste money on some ageing pinko's self indulgent unhinged intellectually dishonest anti-Bush rant. The lyrics featured in several other reviews show how shrill, banal, pathetic and irrelevant Young has become. His political analyis is woefully obtuse, and simply deploys highly emotive far left dogma/sloganising with no considered thought whatever. Hopefully this is not as a result of his brain surgery/problems from a while back. Everyone has an opinion on Iraq but why smugly ram it down the throats of his fans??!! As if some tired old country rocker knows what's best for the world DUH!!! I am pig sick of listening to poorly educated limousine liberals hectoring the rest of us. Its bad enough when they rant in concerts but to perpetrate this kind of explicitly political imbecility on a cd is worthy of nothing but contempt. If a conservative rocknroll star does something overtly political/similar I'll be just as contemptuous. 50 million innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan have been liberated and now have the right to protest ... something Young seems to care little about - its all visceral Bush hate. I wont waste money now on his reunion tour. I detest Springsteen for exactly the same reasons and refuse to buy any more of his pointy headed liberal crap, along with J Browne or L Ronstadt et al - all of whom I now consider to be rock music's archetypal pond scum. No one has the right to deny them their say but to abuse their position as artists and to constantly ram political dogma down people's throat on stage and on cd is unforgiveable and hopefully will cost them sales. Concerts and albums should not be overtly political, its divisive, supremely arrogant and smacks of extreme self absorption, clearly by no means does everyone in any audience agree with a leftist world view. I actually shut MC Carpenter up at a concert in London several years ago as she parrotted her Bush hate. No more of her product ever for me either. Ordinary fans should let these pinkos know that most folks resent paying them to preach far left liberalism. Young is also (collectively) sneering at/undermining the USA military as they die so ordinary Iraqis can have the right to sing protest songs.
