Heading in to Mexico (La Fonda) to do a little shopping/surfing.

I hope the recent Border killings have not tainted the waters down there. We were thinking of going south of Ensenada, but staying closer to the boarder seems prudent.

I haven't been there in over 15 years, and heard that La Fonda has changed ownership. Going to camp there and possibly surf if it's not to big (My GF and I are beginners).

3. I'd also heard that, but I think I remember seeing him there -

in what capacity I don't know - when I was there a couple years ago. The reason I say "I think I remember..." is that I was feeling mighty ill with a hangover from my nephew's wedding the previous day (at Calafia). I hadn't been to La Fonda in many years, and something seemed very strange. Things were almost the same, but there were subtle differences - like a parallel-universe-Twilight-Zone kind of thing. Then we learned the reason: the old La Fonda had burned down and been rebuilt, in a very similar manner, just slightly north of the old location. (Or something like that).

Anyway...have a great time.
