How about some good vibes/prayers Lounge?

Things have been really, really bad here this week. My FIL has been sick, had a stroke, I have been back and forth to the doctor's and the hospital with him all week. They put him on an antibiotic because they thought he had pneumonia. I kept saying that he had altered mental status, but they said they couldn't do anything until he recovered.

This morning, my 14yo son found him dead in his bed. Apparently, after a delicious meal of beef tenderloin, green beans, potatoes, he went to bed and sometime between 3-4 AM he passed.

Great for him. The only way to go.

Please keep my son in your thoughts. I think it was awful the he found him. I wish I had been at home at the time.

And, if I have been mean or nasty to any of you this week. I'm sorry. I haven't been myself.

He was a major PITA, but I am really gonna miss him. He said some damned funny things.

And very hard on your son. Is there someone at his school who could counsel him to get over discovering his grandfather? A clergyman? That is an impressionable age, and he must be hurting.

I feel badly for your son. It's never pleasant for anyone to find a family member deceased but especially for a 14-year old kid. He will be in my thoughts. You and the rest of your family as well.
