It sounds like a horse race, am I right? I've never heard of it before, what's special or interesting about it? :shrug:

1. Horse race. YES! Fucking Preakness dude!
I live where Preakness takes place. Literally about 5 minutes away. It is the third (maybe second?!?)in the major horse races of the year. You know the Kentucky Derby? Yeah, it's in the same series as that.

Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont.

8. Part of Racing's Legendary triple Crown
First the Kentucky Derby, then the Preakness, then teh Belmont Stakes. Cash ands a trophy involved, and if you own a horse than can mange to win all three-- win the triple crown- you'll get a gazillion bucks in stud fees ... not to mention what the horse gets!

15. Not 'laid' so much as a vertical tango in a very, very small stall.
The owners get the fee. The horse gets a quickie and some extra hay.
