Atlanta Falcons fires Dan Reeves

The Atlanta Falcons fired Dan Reeves, dismissing the sixth-winningest coach in NFL history with three games left in a disappointing season. Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips will take over for the rest of the season.

This is eeringly remisicnant of the Denver Broncos years after Dan Reeves was fired..

Yes, Wade Phillips takes over, just like he did after Reeves was fired in 1992 from the Broncos. Wade Phillips lasted a year before Mike Shanahan took over.

1. Really sounds like deja vu.

Actually Phillips lasted two years with the Broncos. Hopefully the don't take Shanahan away from us too. Who knows, maybe the Falcons will win the superbowl in 5 years.

After they lose their first five games next season, and decide it's time to lose Schottenheimer, they can hire another recycled old white man who the game passed by years ago.

What, did they honestly expect him to win with Doug Johnson? Jesus Christ Himself couldn't put a playoff run together with Doug Johnson.

That's the NFL, get fired because the star player your team is built around gets hurt. Sheesh.
