But the music is mostly far above what passes for pop...

9. Haha, don't think I know that song.
I'm not the biggest emo fan, though I'll admit I do listen to some. I know a bunch of emo kids from going to local hardcore shows though. Irritates me to see them broadbrushed the way they are when they're usually pretty cool. And sies like www.emogame.com prove they have a pretty good sense of humour, too.
