Who is Jose Iturbi.

You can't google it either. (Or any other search engine either.)

3. I'm impressed
I'd never heard of him. This week, I watched two old movies that featured him playing himself. I'm pretty familiar with stars from the golden age of hollywood, but somehow I missed him.

5. I think he was the arranger for many MGM movies. I'm watching "Anchors
Aweigh" and "Royal Wedding" on TCM, too. :)

7. Just like in the movies! Frank Sinatra on a date with Kathryn Grayson
when she really should be out with Gene Kelly. Now Fred Astaire is out with Sarah Churchill, who I believe is, in real life, Winston Churchill's daughter.

8. Daughter or grandaughter
I think I heard that just before the movie started. If we stay up late enough, Gene Kelly on a date with Debbie Reynolds. Pass the popcorn, please.

9. Here:
 With Whoppers and large Coke.

Actually, I just made a bowl of oatmeal. But it IS cooked grain with lots of butter on top!

And it is probably WAS Churchill's daughter/granddaughter.

Why ancha out on a REAL date on a Saturday night? (I can tell you why ain't. I mowed the entire lawn on the riding mower and I live in the country and I talking a REAL lawn - several acres with lots of trees, etc. - and between that and picking up all the pine cones and fixing the mower belt, I'm wiped out.

10. What are Whoppers?
You put butter on oatmeal?

As for the real date thing. I've been really busy the last couple of weeks and haven't seen or talked to anyone.(outside of work) Besides, I've been waiting for you to ask me out!

13. Malted Milk Balls!
Fred's dancing on the ceiling, now!

I love Technicolor:

As far as oatmeal, a little sugar, butter and milk. Yum. 'Course I live in the land of grits, which are only good if you put butter on 'em. Otherwise, they're worthless. My last girlfriend was British and I introduced her to them. She said she liked them and much later on she told me she lied. She thought they were nasty.

Well, I'm off to Baltimore next weekend with my male buds to hang out, so next Saturday is out... :7

14. I've had grits
They had cheese in them and they weren't bad - kind of nice as something different. I've never seen them in the grocery store up here. I put brown sugar and milk on my oatmeal.

You're deserting me for the guys already! :(

BTW, I think that was real footage from Princess Elizabeth's wedding.

15. Yup. Real footage.
It's our annual summer get-together! I have to get the hell out of North Carolina every once in awhile. It's not like Vancouver around here, for you and LynnTheDem and HeyHEY. But Baltimore is much more liberal.

Heh! They're advertising "Brigadoon" now and I just tried to post a Technicolor image from it instead of the 'Royal Wedding' poster.

I've never been to Baltimore.

Are you going to watch 'Singing In The Rain'?

17. Outer Banks? Then I'm your guy!
Been there many times. Okracoke is one of my favorite places in the world. I have even camped out on the beach; last time stayed in a nice bed and breakfast. There is no place quite like it in the world, with the sound on one side and the ocean on the other. I have climbed Hatteras lighthouse both in it's original location and since they moved it, and taking the ferries to both Okracoke and to Hatteras is half the fun. I thought you were going to Paris with that doctor guy, though? :P

OKRACOKE LIGHTHOUSE

Are there ferries in Vancouver? I know you have the cable car thingie that goes up the mountain.

Yup, got
