I'm loving my new media center!
It's my old computer I took out of mothballs.

This is so cool!

It's now a PVR for all of those shows I never watch in the first place...

And DVD player (2 drives; for Region 1 and 2 discs) soi no longer have to spend countless hours converting to NTSC. (Fun learning process and I'm down to one step, but it's not necessary any longer.)

Anyone wanna come over and watch some great movies and eat popcorn? :popcorn:

160GB IDE hard drives for storage
CyberDVD 5 for DvD playback
SB Audigy 2 Platinum (though the new Audigy 4 would be sufficient, with its remote)

I've been thinking about a media center pc for awhile. My boss built a linux MythTV box at his house that so far, he loves. I've seem some cheapie MS Media Center Edition pcs I've thought about... but MS + DRM = unpalatable.

13. I have a region-free Yamaha 5-disc player that does PAL-to-NTSC...
because I'm too impatient to spend time on converting (wasn't too expensive, either; right around $150).
