:puke:

I've eaten out of that bag before. :puke: :puke:

No idea what it could be. It's a mexican blend ( I know .. Why do I hate America?), and I decided to make some chips and melted cheese w/ onions while watching tv. As I was layering on the cheese a flash of bright red caught my eye. I looked closer - and sure enough. Some random shreds of cheese looked like they'd been dipped in blood. In fact, I at first thought I'd cut a finger or my hand somehow before reaching into the back for a handful.

I picked the red pieces out and put them in a sandwich bag, then sealed them in by tying a knot. Put it in the fridge. Now what do I do? Contact the CDC? Take them to the clinic for a blood test? Take it back to Safeway?

I dunno. I'm pretty sicked out right now. If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it. Right now, I'm going to bed and try to not think about it. I'll check back in the morning.

:yoiks:

2. If it were blood, it would have turned brown by now, I'd think.
I'd take it back to the store, in any event. :toogrossforwords:

3. Definitely take it back to the store, along with the original packaging

And instead of just a replacement bag, tell'em you want a block of cheese you can shred yourself.
