For my 5000th post I should like to make the Loungers aware of some of the unnoticed things here, we all know the great posts and the big flamewars, but here are some things about DU you might find interesting:

No state or country forums included. I hate geography.

In the battle for largest flamefest, the 9/11 forum has been in the lead for a long time with a steady average of 11 flamewars per page, BUT Religion/Theology has recently surged into the lead, with page 20 displaying only two flaming posts, but 18 & 19 firestorms on pages 1 & 2 respectively, putting it ahead of both 9/11 AND Isreal/Palestine combined!

I'm continuing my efforts to fight those who are waging DUs war against those with mental illnesses. I'm amazed how many resident mental health professionals we have who are able to diagnose people just by watching them on tv. They put my own educational and professional expertise to shame. :eyes:
