3. Maybe something environmental?
Something akin to the charter restrictions currently being encated in select townships?

Could be expanded into a larger picture of corporate being held to the basic standards (labor laws, fair pay, generous retirement, no outsourcing, blah, blah).

thou shalt not put the needs of the upper class before those who need it more.

thou shalt not hate.

thou shalt not be silent because of fear when you are called out to stand up for what is right.

19. i had a civics teacher that hated me
he always complained about democrats in class and he hated FDR (my favorite Prez) so when i did a book report on him and turned it in early for extra credit, he didn't give me the credit he promised and he graded it a 90 when i know perfectly well that my report was better than those who got 100's and wrote about George W. Bush. :eyes:

21. I got 7 now
Edited on Mon May-22-06 06:34 PM by NJ Democrats
and thanks to all those who helped me:
This is all-important Seven Commandments, as, I, **** have determined them to be. The purpose of this is to state the seven most important laws that all people in this country and the world shall follow from now on.

Commandment One:
Governments and well to do people shall help out poorer, older, and other citizens in need.
The reasons for this are simple. Poor people, old people and other people who have troubles must be helped out by those who can. This is a necessity if we are to function as a society.

Commandment Two:
Universal Health Care For All People.
Without health what can one do? Not much and that is why everyone needs Health Free, paid for by the government.

Commandment Three:
Thou shall not support hate, bigotry, and racism.
Hate, bigotry, and racism is pure evil and all it does is bring down people and harm them. It does nothing good.

Commandment Four:
No one shall deliberately pollute the environment and should find other ways to do things without polluting.
If we want to live must have clean air to breathe and with holes in the ozone layer we will get cancer and die. Now, we don’t want that to happen do we?

Commandment Five:
All corporations shall be held to the basic standards of labor laws, fair pay, generous retirement, no outsourcing, etc.
If you had a job you would want to have fair pay and no be exploited right? So, does everyone else. And that is what this commandment is for.

Commandment Six:
All shall have the basic freedoms of speech, choice of religion, the right to report truthful things and the right to meet and to protest.
Oh, come one. This on is basic. Everyone needs to have these basic freedoms; the same ones in the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. Do I really need to tell you why we need them?

Commandment Seven:
There shall be no more Candidates from the “House of Bush” that shall be President or any other political office.
This is another easy one. All of the people from the “House of Bush” from George HW to George W to JEB have destroyed our country though lies, wars, and other actions some of which are illegal (as in Illegal Wiretapping and Stealing Elections…)

Thus, with my commandments in effect people would be better off, weather they have health care now or they don’t have to worry about another Bush destroyed the world. My most important commandment, in my opinion, is the same ones as the founders of America thought was the most important, the freedoms of speech, religion, the press, assembly and petition.

What do you guys think?

33. Okay, I've got 7
1. Thou shalt, above all things, do no harm.

2. Thou shalt do what's right, in all situations.

3. Thou shalt not act nor speak if said actions or words are based in ego.

4. If you have it, but don't need it absolutely, thou shalt give it to one who does.

5. Thou shalt honor the divine in all beings.

6. Thou shalt practice mindfulness.

7. In the face of evil or wrong, thou shalt act within your ability to change same.

I'll leave it to any reader to define the reasons why.
