I am in a horrible, carnivorous, she-bitch mood tonight. Help!
I'm not sure if it's a culmination of events, or if it's the fact that I'm recovering from a short, nasty flu. But I feel like I could decapitate a horse while beating a gaggle of orphans.

Help talk me down!

((Preventatively speaking: For those of you interested, even peripherally, in my menstrual cycle - THAT was 10 days ago. Thank you.))

1. Have a nice glass of Merlot and watch some Sienfeld. Then take a long
bath and play some Bach - by candlelight. Then go to bed and sleep for many hours. You will feel better in the morning.

2. You know that sounds rather nice.
I think I might do that... I haven't had a bath in a while because of my illness. And Merlot - I have an unopened bottle of that on my counter.

orphans.

7. Maybe it's because nobody reads anymore.
The whole post-literate society thing gets me mad a lot.

14. Ah! The illiteracy of post-modern society.
Anti-intellectualism is the driving force behind our society today. Each day, another babe is born to further unravel the interstitial fibers of theory and imagination that craft the founding philosophy of America. Why oh why must it be!

8. My Carnivorous Consultation Causes No Clarification...
I googled 'gaggle' and gurgled gobs of gleeful gab, but got no gratification on grafting guidance in your great grief. For that I apologize alot for abundant alliteration, but do hope you feel fine and frisky forthwith.

:yoiks:

10. You're female?
I didn't know that. I'm a hormonal perimenopausal hotflashing bitch, tired of it after 4 yrs.

19. Not much fun for anyone around.
I keep getting confused as to whom is male and whom is female on DU. Sometime I'll remember.

15. Well, now...
Well now, I'm a guy and from what I've been told from the guys and gals in my dept. at work, I've been on a menstrual cycle since March of last year.

In all seriousness, something my grandfather told me some years back when I was feeling low was... "Are you getting beaten? Are your hungry? Do you have a roof over your head? Then what in the hell are you bellyaching about!!??"

16. That's great perspective. I appreciate that.
Your grandpa sounds like a real pragmatist. We need more of those nowadays.

18. For what it's worth, I hope your tomorow is better!
He was. He died in Jan., but I'm the lucky fella who got all of his journals that he started in 1937 and wrote his last entry in Jan of 2006.

He was the guy who told me when I first got interested in politics, "When you see a preacher talking politics, walk away. When you see a politician talking religion, run away".

I kinda miss that old guy....

For what it's worth, I hope your tomorow is better!
