1. You know what's funny?
When people think they're superior because they don't watch American Idol, never have watched American Idol, never will watch American Idol, or what have you. Like all they're doing is sitting around an independent coffeeshop/bookstore discussing Nietzche or something.

Everyone deserves a couple pieces of candy, even though it's not good for you. Sometimes things that aren't good for you are the most enjoyable to consume.

I totally agree with you. I watch this show with my children, one of the few that I can. It's entertaining and fun to watch and it's a break from politics and serious life issues.

11. I love when the same people try AI=cultural inferiority to other countries
Esp. since not only do most of those "superior" countries have their own versions of AI but also watch delayed broadcasts of OUR version in mass numbers.

However, I believe that American Idol has undoubtedly become bigger than any other country's version of the show.

its just not something that interests me and I don't really know anybody who watches it religiously so I don't get exposed to it...

he is still trying to figure out what in the hell Seacrest said "Am I out? You brainless drip what the hell did you say AM I OUT OR NOT?"

Anyway if I had a Chris option it would get the most votes even though Elliott was the bestest ever.

7. I was disappointed with the performances last night
I guess they were very nervous.

I love the show. If you like music, it's fun to hear the progress or lack of progress each week. Pop isn't my favorite musical style, but the show is good.

8. Well "Levon" is a great song
Taylor just did it very relaxed- he didn't scream it out.

I have to say that even having watched the whole thing (I swear I just planned on watching the first few shows of people being crushed) I really don't care who wins. The whole thing is so NOTHING-the band is horrible, Seacrest is an idiot, and it all is so surreal how much people are into it (Richmond radio was filled with theories and concerns about the voting being rigged....read that line again).

I will be watching Lost all night.
