American Idol is just an expression of the majority's desire to pump
itsself up...and there is nothing wrong with that. But they should all stop pretending that its about talent. The discussion about Rolling Stones selling more copies with Clay Aiken on the cover than with Reuban Stoddard and that the issue with Stoddard on the cover was the worst selling issue of the magazine proves my point. It's still all about race. At least three African American female contestents had much better voices that Kelly and no matter how the voting went, deep down inside most Americans know that. But who said life was fair, anyway?
