2. It's a palo verde, quite common here in the desert city of Tucson
I'm back to work after my medical episode,
feeling older and wiser. I have a subtly new perspective,
I'm enjoying my garden and my home and, most importantly,
my children.

Thanks for asking.

4. Sometimes I miss the green of the midwest.
You might even say I'm envious.

Thanks for the pic, theophilus. It looks like that yard is
waiting for some home-made ice cream.

5. Yep, some homemade strawberry would go good about now.
It has been quite warm lately. Of course the humidity is the "killer" around here. Fortunately, the skeeters have been few and far between. I watched some nighthawks and a bat doing their jobs this evening. I love the big trees. We have some huge old pines. The problem is the choose to drop limbs and even fall over at the most inopportune times. One of our neighbors old hack berry trees decided to fall across our fence the other day. It just missed me, in my lawn chair, by a few seconds. Pretty exciting.

Anyway, we lived near Santa Fe for nearly two years and would gladly go back to the desert. It was fantastic. Thanks for your pic and the chance to chat. :hi:

Enjoy those stars for us!

7. Ok, that wasn't the best shot. Here's a better one:

I think that's much better than the first one I posted in this thread.
