I don't get the complaining about the ads.
Am I seeing the same thing that others are seeing? Three or four little links above posts with a few sentences underneath them? This is annoying? Not at all.

Either my browser is different or people are really, really focused on the wrong thing.

1. I think it's kind of interesting to see what subjects pop up
I'm seeing the same thing you are. My question...does everyone see something different?

3. One would think that they are seeing something different.
Because what I am seeing amounts to nothing. Not even arguably distracting.

2. It's change. Always produces anxious reactions.
After the dealing, equilibrium.

4. I appreciate your sentiment.
But isn't part of what DU is all about is not being a reactionary? ;)

5. Only politically. Emotional and physical reactions are full of info.
Valuable info, at that. One bit of which is how to respond which is what I presume you're saying. I've long ago learned that if you talk it out, you won't act it out, much more often than not and sometimes, that dialogue begins with an angry expression of anger or a frustrated expression of frustration.

6. I think I understand what you are saying.
One time a DUer started a rather panic-stricken thread about her neighbor across the street who sat in a car in his garage drinking and smoking. The whole time the poster was obsessed with the thought that the neighbor was "watching her."

Weird.
