School's out for the summer...
Stupid earworm. Been going through my head all morning, while my beloved children have been going through my office. And the kitchen. And my bedroom.

Over and over and over and over.

Yesterday was the last day of school. 86 days of, "Mom, I need a ride to...," "Mom, tell him to stop...," "Mom, tell her she can't....," "Mom, he's breathing on me!"

Pray for me.

4. Always...
It's not the kids that get to me, it's the constant...everything. And the capper is...I've already heard, "Mom, I'm bored..."

*sigh*

The good news is twofold, though. 1. The offending daughter is currently being unbored by cleaning bathrooms (bet I won't hear that out of her mouth for at least a day now) and, 2. Summer school and summer band start next week.

2. Hang in there
Is there someone in the neighborhood with a swimming pool? Looking back, I think my Mom must have paid the neighbor to let me stay in their pool 8 hours a day during the summers. At least I love the water!

Hell, I'd pay the neighbor to let Me stay in their pool. A lounge chair, a good book and a cold drink...sounds like heaven right now.

10. We homeschool too
I get irritated during the summer because there's so many dang kids around! We no longer have the parks, museums and theatres to ourselves. :P
